What’s Included
The For Rent by Owner Service (FRBO) is for landlords committed to renting their investment properties on their own without the help of a real estate agent with no commission due. The cost of the service is $340.00 for a six-month listing and includes the following:

Real estate documents and disclosures typically used by agents in a real estate transaction.

A six-month listing on Living Connecticut’s website. This is not an MLS listing. If you’d like your listing to appear on the Realtor’s® MLS go to our Seller’s Multiple Listing Service where you can list your rental property with other MLS rentals.

You’ll create your web listing through the Dashboard that you’ll have access to once you sign up for the service.

You’ll be able to include property details, upload photos and a video house tour if you choose, post your open house schedule, provide directions and any special notes you want to include, and add your contact information for renters to contact you directly with questions and to schedule showings. If you have any questions using the tool to help you create your listing, contact us and we’ll be happy to help.

Renters will be able to print out and email copies of your listing and will have the option to provide feedback on schedule showings and public open houses.

A professional “For Rent” sign on loan to you installed on your property with your phone number added for renters to contact you directly.

Your own Web Address linked to your listing and displayed on your For Rent sign for people driving by to access your listing in real time.

An “Open House” sign included.

A “For Rent” directional sign included.

Information and trade secrets that agents use to help you rent your investment property is included on your Dashboard in the Landlord’s Library along with a checklist that will get you started and help you stay on track for managing your rental property.
If you would like to sign up for the For Rent by Owner Service:
- Step 1: Go to and review the Service Agreement.
- Step 2: If you’d like to proceed, agree to the terms, and fill out the form with your information included.
- Step 3: Select your payment method through Pay Pal where the cost of the service is $340.00.
- Step 4: Once your payment is processed, you’ll be taken back to the site where you will create a login and password and then be redirected to your Dashboard each time you log in.
